No-Limit Texas Hold'em: Basic starting hands

Introduction

If you start No-Limit Texas Hold'em play, it is best to avoid marginal hands, as this is only connected with a lot of rates, which makes you vulnerable. Have you never played NL, we recommend that you limit yourself to only pairs AA-22 to play AK and AD. With these pages you will not find in many dangerous situations again and you can still win big pots. Playing only these hands requires a lot of discipline, because you will not get involved in many pots. Play with this strategy, you have a lot of time to study the game and watch the players while you play.

This table shows minimum required hands per position in a halb-engen/halb-aggressiven game.

General advice Pre-Flop

Most of the time you should increase / increase again when you top-pairs (AA-DD) and Top consecutive cards (AK, ADs) have to see smaller and different pairs of successive maps as flops against you. Do not forget that they usually have the ability to double on good cards (although many beginners do not realize this and fold too often pre-flop).

Stay with the best hands (see table minimum required sheets. You will pay dearly for with second best hands in NL "keep up".

Keep most raises down between 70% and 100% (which makes it three times the big blind to a 80% pot bet on the same typically) in order to save money when you can be increased by increasing the profile again, or a calling is made . Sit hesitant increase compared to you about the 4 to 6 times the big blind.

Respect strong tough player (for example, you should give up AD, when a strong player raises under the gun).

Very weak players are entered in the pot, should you be inclined to call and take flops with them.

Improve or increase again mainly with DD-AA, AK and AD's in any position.

Basically, all other starting hands are weak hands. And even if you re-raise with them if you defend your blinds, you could raise with these hands when you are in a late position (Dealer) First are.

Mix from time to your game by increasing / Callen / increase again in the profile that you would not normally play. You should make sure that your conduct is not too predictable.
