No- Limit Texas Hold' em - Basic Strategy

Introduction

One of the main differences between Limit and No Limit Hold'em is the position. In no-limit this is of far greater importance, as affecting your decision (s) your entire chip stocks can. If you lure in the No Limit your position taking advantage of someone in a trap, you may be able to win all the chips your opponent - in Limit Hold'em there are only a few extra big bets. Hoh connectors like AK, AQ or QJ lose in no limit in value since you win so although many smaller pots, but larger ones will lose. In contrast Pocket Pairs SIDN particularly valuable because you will almost always win when you hit a set on the board. Big pairs like AA and KK are always valuable, for this also means you can double frequent.

The fish call to increase the sharks

In limit, and even no-limit games you will often experienced that several players calling for a raise ... Sometimes you lose your hand if you go into such a pot.

In limit, and even no-limit games you will often experiences that call for a raise several players ... Sometimes you will lose your hand if you go into such a pot. Do this, therefore, not a habit, since:

Callen shows weakness
The raiser usually holds the better hand
Do you have a good hand, it should be increased up to you. If you want to just call again and see the cards, you will have to see through easily. Of course there are exceptions to this rule:
If you hold a Jack (Jacks) in hand and there were already two pre-flop raises, increase should only yourself if you want to bet on your next card, and more than a few people in the pot.

Strong hand, small pot - Part 2: The mean hand

Some amateurs believe that hands can only win small pots with strong. That would mean of course that big pots with weak hands are won only.

The rationale goes something like this:

"Increases and get called pre-flop is only with good cards, so more likely to hit with low cards and the flop to crack the good hands."

Although this is a logic that is based on a half-truth and at the border of the ridiculous is but the concept of weak hand, big pot is not as far-fetched. It is quite possible to scenarios in which the concept applies exactly.

Strong hand, small pot - Part 1: Their fault

First of two articles of an anti-thesis against Daniel Skolovys recent strategy articles "strong hand, big pot, weak hand, small pot.

For the following discussion are now ready to order, please read this article .

Ready? So: How many times have you heard the following sentence? "With Pocket Aces win one small pot or lose big"?

If your answer is "never", you wait it only occasionally. It's just a matter of time.

The same players represented like the maxim that you should play in a raised multiway pot all low cards, and for the following reason:

"Players raise and call raises with high cards, thus increasing the chance that you meet with small maps and hits the high cards."

Both statements contain a grain of truth. It is even more than a grain. I would say that as much truth there is that I think it is wrong to label them as "wrong".

But I will now try to explain where the logic error that stuck in what and how it could come to them.
